About the role
Here at Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, we want to deliver the very best services for our people. Our Place Delivery team is at the heart of delivering growth and regeneration projects that will ensure we can do this.
You could play a crucial role in this team as an Open Space Development Manager. Leading the delivery of two exciting open space projects, you’ll help develop priority regeneration areas for our residents.
You’ll manage a budget of roughly £4m that has already been procured, so your main focus will be on ensuring the projects are delivered on time to a high standard. You’ll work actively with the private and public sector to deliver these schemes and ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
This is an exciting time to join us as we undergo a period of development and regeneration of our populated areas, with a focus on placing our residents at the centre of everything we do.
About you
Using your extensive place delivery experience and expertise, you’ll supervise the preparation and specification of the projects, meaning an excellent track record in a similar role will be vital. You’ll need to have strong interpersonal skills, as well as an aptitude for people management so you can effectively lead the project team.
Being able to work on your own initiative and manage your own time will be crucial to your success, as well as working collaboratively to support others in your team. You’ll also need effective communication skills so you’re able to provide clear advice and direction, as well as manage consultants, contractors and suppliers.
We’re looking for people who want to grow and develop, to progress their career by working on our high profile and ambitious projects. If you have a positive attitude and a passion for place delivery, this is the perfect role for you.
About Us
