Role Purpose

The Tower Hamlets Arts and MusicEducation Service (THAMES) is expanding provision and seeking to appointexperienced Instrumental, Vocal, Curriculum and Early Years Music Tutors forthe THAMES Panel of Teachers.

Weare specifically looking for tutors for Strings and African Drumming.

We areespecially interested in appointing highly talented and enthusiastic tutors whoare excited by the possibility of being part of an Award winning Music Hub.THAMES is the lead organisation in the Tower Hamlets Music Education Hub whichalso includes the City of London.



Key Responsibilities

Your keytask will be to teach music to pupils in individual/small group lessons, and/orwhole classes, in line with THAMES policies and the Service Level Agreement(SLA) to schools in Tower Hamlets.

Requirements

Candidates should have:

a) Successful instrumental/vocal teaching experience in a music service or school delivering small group, whole class or classroom music lessons

b) Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development.

c) A first degree or equivalent or evidence of significant practical music-making at a high-level of performance;
