SW9 Community Housing is a charity responsible for the management and maintenance services for around 1,800 residential, commercial and community facilities in Stockwell/Brixton on behalf of a G15 Housing Association, Network Homes. As a resident-led organisation, we are seeking to recruit to a key managerial role in order to enhance the delivery of services we provide to our residents to ensure excellence. With a turnover of £7.7m, and rising, we have ambitious plans. In excess of £120milllion of inward investment over the last 10 years, we aim to build a bright future for our residents. About the role:
The Head of Finance is a pivotal role to the organisation. Reporting to the Executive Director you will be responsible for overseeing our small Finance, Human Resources, and Governance and Compliance teams. Providing operational leadership and management, you will ensure financial control and best practice is delivered, whilst increasing efficiency and reducing manual processes. You will advise the Executive Director of improvements on all financial matters and ensure business decisions are aligned with the financial strategy and work to enhance financial culture and performance.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have a recognised accountancy qualification or QBE (qualified by experience based on proven successful industry track record), with previous experience of managing a team. You will have gravitas, drive and ambition with a degree of commercial acumen and the ability to communicate effectively with high-level key stakeholders and create insightful financial information that will drive business performance.
We have a hands-on, problem solving, team culture so it is essential that you have the ability to roll up your sleeves and be involved in the day to day operations, as well as coaching and influencing others to continue to innovate and improve our financial processes ensuring compliance to financial and governance regulations is maintained.
