Occupational Therapist
You’re relevantly qualified, have experience of working in Occupational Therapy and are familiar with health legislation and health, safety and risk management policies. All you need is the perfect environment to put your skills to great use. Welcome to Richmond Fellowship as an Occupational Therapist.
Right now, we’re looking for an Occupational Therapist to join the team at the Trinity Street care home in Batley Carr. A 24 hour registered care home, Trinity Street provides a safe, supportive place to live, where individuals with diagnosed mental health problems can work towards their personal goals, whilst maintaining and improving their ‘life skills’. Your challenge? To provide the OT assessments and interventions that will enable us to maintain a recovery and rehabilitation focused environment, including developing plans for clients with complex needs. Giving clear guidance to staff engaging with the recovery support plans will be important too, as will reviewing outcomes and staff performance and reporting this information to the registered service manager. And, in order to ensure you’re fully supported, the registered service manager will be on hand to provide management supervision, while clinical development supervision will be delivered via an external OT or university identified party.
As well as a COT diploma or BSc Occupational Therapy degree or MSC Occupational Therapy pre-registration, you have HCPC state registration and are willing to undertake practice placement education and other identified training. Documented evidence of continuing professional development is important too, as is knowledge of current best OT practice and a proven ability to apply the OT process in a relevant clinical setting. Comfortable working independently using your own initiative, you're great at engaging with clients. What’s more, you know how to plan and coordinate treatment packages, have a good understanding of multi-disciplinary working and are committed to client-centred, non-discriminatory practice.
So, are you ready to take on this rewarding role that comes with some really great benefits, including a smartphone? Apply now via our website.
Closing date: 4th November 2019
