Do you love managing a varied property portfolio, dealing with everything from offices to libraries, allotments to depots?

Do you want to play a part in building a professional team, with a truly flexible working culture that supports a positive balance between work and family life?

Your task will be to lead and implement a new Operational Assets Strategy to ensure the Council’s operational estate is financially viable, resilient, fit for purpose and able to deliver excellent services. The aim is to consolidate and invest in strategic hubs, whilst releasing surplus buildings for income production.

You will act as the Council’s official Corporate Landlord. You will lead on, and implement, the Corporate Landlord Policy and manage and monitor statutory compliance across the operational estate. This is a transformational asset management role, with the opportunity to create a new way of working for the Council, in line with CIPFA best practice guidance.

You will be MRICS qualified and a collaborative leader to our newly formed Operational Property team. You will play a pivotal role as the Corporate Landlord for all other Service areas in the Council; your relationships with other Heads of Service across the authority being key to successful delivery. You’ll also need to be organised, excellent at managing compliance and risk and able to keep a tight control over budget expenditure.

In Strategic Property Services, no day is the same and there are constant challenges, but we all share a vision, which is to ensure that Enfield’s property assets are made the most of, for the benefit of Enfield’s people.

Your supporting statement and CV should be uploaded as 1 document in the "CV/Work History upload" section of the online application form.

However, please note as the manager would like a supporting statement attached to your CV as your application to apply for this role, your CV will be visible to the manager as soon as it has been submitted. As we operate a process of name blind recruitment you do not need to include your name on your CV.
