Team Managers – Social Work with Families Service

If so, we have opportunities for you to join Croydon Council as a Team Manager and help shape the future of children’s services within our Social Work with Families Service.  The Social Work with Families Service brings together services for children subject to child protection plans and children in need and you will be using your skills and knowledge to create the best possible outcomes for children and families in Croydon.

About You

As an advanced practitioner and experienced leader, we will look to you to champion and drive service improvement, by leading from the front line and working alongside our partners. We’ll want you to build and maintain positive relationships within your team – focusing on the child and their environment, placing their health and safety as your number one priority.

You’ll be expected to allocate cases, shape and influence practice, demonstrating confident analysis and decision making, ensure practitioners receive reflective, challenging and explorative supervision to enable informed decision-making on children and young people’s cases.

We are looking for existing team managers, deputy team managers capable of working in a leadership, operational manager role. Your compassion and drive will enable you to effectively engage with Social Workers, supporting them to build relationships with children, young people and their families to create change. If you have a keen social awareness and an ability to work with genuine empathy and compassion to support staff, children and families – whilst working towards genuine sustainable solutions – then there’s a strong chance you’ll fit in well here.
