We have a number of exciting opportunities for Social Workers to join our Assessment Service.
 
Croydon has six Assessment Teams based in our modern offices in Croydon, come and join us. We are committed to improving the lives of children and young people and their families across the Borough. We offer great office accommodation and facilities in the centre of Croydon with excellent public transport links.
 
Investment within the Assessment Service has enabled:
  • Manageable caseloads
  • More management capacity added across the service to improve the support to Social Workers
  • Investment with partners on understanding thresholds, referral quality and appropriateness as well as investing in our Early Help offer to reduce demand where statutory intervention is not necessary.
  • Additional business support officers enabling more support for social care meetings
  • Investment into your staff well being.

Your experience of working in a statutory setting will allow you to operate with confidence and emotional intelligence; using research to support your decision making and creating plans focused on creating positive change in children and young people’s lives.
 
We are looking for confident social workers who can demonstrate their skills, resilience and experience in;
 
  • Making relationships to create change
  • Identifying and working with our families’ strengths.
  • Managing complex cases
  • Working with families and children to produce Child and Family
  • Working directly with children, young people and their families evidencing multi-agency partnerships with a robust understanding of thresholds of need.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with families and referrers from all partner agencies
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills and the ability to incorporate our systemic practice model which builds on families’ strengths with a focus on protective factors.
  • Effective time management skills to deliver within expected timeframes.

Our offer to you;

 

A salary depending on your qualified experience £37,842 - £45,585
 
In addition to the annual salary there will be a welcome payment of £5,000 (paid at 6 months with a 24 month tie in) and a further £3,000 retention package (£1,500 to be paid at 12 months and then 6 months after of £1,500)
