Project Worker

We are recruiting for a passionate individual to join our growing team as an experienced Project Worker to provide support at our homeless supported housing services in one of our schemes in Bury St Edmunds. If this is of interest then we would love to hear from you.
NHG’s Care & Support has recently undergone an ambitious change programme within several of our schemes across the county. The aim of the new services is to ensure our customers achieve their goals and aspirations through the support, encouragement and guidance of our staff.
Located at our Bury St Edmunds Service, the Project Worker will be responsible for delivering person-centered services. The scheme is an accommodation based environment that supports single homeless people who may have experienced drug, alcohol, substance misuse problems, and/or have varying support needs.
The primary focus of our schemes is to support clients in a range of areas, including finding employment, recovery from addiction, and building stability through a range of social activities. A successful outcome is achieved when our customers can move on to more suitable long-term accommodation, appropriate to their needs.
As a motivational and inspirational individual, you’ll have a genuine interest working with vulnerable people and delivering a person-centered service. Previous supported housing experience would be suitable for this role as you will be supporting single homeless people that can display challenging behavior. You will be required to lone work and use your own initiative which will need a strong willed and confident individual.
Housing, Benefits, drug & alcohol and mental health knowledge is preferable.
Hours will be 39 hours a week, over a rota basis and you will be required to work some weekends.
