Public Protection Licensing Officer- Fixed Term Contract -18 months
Your day-to-day role will see you working within the Private Sector Housing & Public Health team on a full time basis dealing with Landlord & tenants enquiries and processing and issuing licence applications. From time to time you may also be required to go out with the Public Protection Officers inspecting properties.

Haverings private rented secor plays an important role of supplying good quality accomodation in particular Houses of Multiple occupance (HMOs). We are looking for two enthausitic individuals to join the property licensing team. You will assist th team leader to license rented properties and gather intelligence to target enforcement action on properties and landlords failing to fulfil their health and safety duties.
In Havering we currently have Additional Licensing in place covering Houses of Multiple Occupancy (HMOs) in 12 out of 18 wards, and we are currently consulting on extending licencing in rented properties further covering all 18 ward for Additional licensing and proposing Selective Licensing in Brooklands and Romford Town.
Suitable canidates for the post will be flexible,organised, resourceful, self-motivated individuals. On a day to day basis you will provide licensing advice to landlords and tenants, asked to gather evidence to aid in your investigation to licence properties and ensure that our procedures are carried out correctly.
Your excellent comunication skills will be essential to you success in your ability to work as part of the team and develop effective working relationships.
