We are seeking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated officer to join the Central Rents team. The successful candidate will have responsibility for former debt and arrears recovery and the administration of tenancy accounts. The post will be covering two part time positions, giving the opportunity to undergo cross working within the job role.
Essential experience for this role includes:
* experience of collecting rent and or arrears
* experience of working in a social housing environment or finance and income related service
* experience of dealing with public and able to communicate effectively at all levels
* experience of using IT, databases, information system and MS Office.
* experience of using a housing management system.
You will also need experience in interviewing customers either face to face or via the telephone.
Be able to work in partnership with internal departments such as the housing benefit team dealing with queries relating to housing benefit assessments and rent issues.
Strong computer skills will be essential for this role as well as managing a case-load. Good organisational and communication skills will be an important requirement.
This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
