Role Purpose

Would you like to make a positive difference for domestic abuse survivors going through court processes? Would you like to work in a vibrant, diverse and award winning borough and team?

We are looking for a passionate, hardworking and flexible team player who has extensive knowledge of the Criminal Justice System and domestic abuse. They will need to have good interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and using their own initiative. Key duties include:
  1. Toco-ordinate and develop the Specialist Domestic AbuseCourt (SDAC) Partnership at Thames Magistrates’ Court and Stratford Court at a strategic and operational level for the boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Hackney as part of the local andnational remits for a coordinated community response to domestic abuse.

  2. Coordinate the SDAC Steering Group ensuring implementation of delivery plans and key performance indicators.



Key Responsibilities

Attend the SDACweekly to coordinate partner agencies; record case results; maintain casefile systems and SDAC resources; deal with observers/visitors; ensure the protocol is adheredto; and record practice in the SDAC.

Work closely withpartner agencies on cases, intervening and assisting when necessary toensure best practice is followed.

Collate performancemonitoring data from partner agencies for presentation to the SDACSteering Group, the Local Justice Area, Tower Hamlets and Hackneyborough Community Safety Partnerships, Domestic Violence Forums, and other bodies as appropriate.

Raise issuesarising from SDAC practice and procedures and follow up matters identified.

Provide briefingpapers, reports and presentations on the work of the SDAC for a variety ofaudiences.

Convene and serviceSDAC Steering Group to ensure theeffective working of the SDAC partnership at all levels.

Develop andmaintain the partnership protocols with member agencies of the SDAC, ensuringthat these are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect current practice.
