Strategic HR Business Partner £65367-£73670pa (Fixed term Contract 6-9 months)
You will work with assigned service areas on:
Driving and implementing activities including organisation redesign, succession planning,
employee engagement and talent development.
Developing relationships with senior leaders and working closely with senior teams.
Partnering with directors and senior leaders and HR teams on driving organisational
The most complex and sensitive HR casework matters, interpreting employment legislation
and case law as necessary, or providing innovative solutions where information is not
Analysing trends and key metrics.
You will work closely with directors and senior managers to:
Support and deliver effective business change
Influence decision making in line with HR policy and best practice
Apply your strategic planning and change management skills
Coach managers to build confidence in dealing with employee issues
Build effective relationships with senior managers and trade unions
I am looking for candidates who have experience of:
Integrating HR into the strategic direction, planning and operation of assigned service areas.
Driving forward effective, efficient and business focused strategic HR&OD solutions, working in partnership with senior management teams.
Providing high quality and consistent strategic HR advice on a range of HR&OD issues.
Actively promoting constructive relationships with trade unions to support corporate and local objectives.
You will be an experienced HR Business Partner with the credibility to influence and drive
people initiatives, with:
Strong experience of significant change programmes and developing and delivering people
Previous experience in an HR Business Partner role - ideally within a local government
Demonstrable relationship management experience at all levels, including business
partnering at director level with excellent interpersonal skills.
A proven track record of operating at a strategic level, driving business outcomes through
considered approaches to workforce issues.
Experience of delivering business change through the adoption of sound change .
management principles and employee engagement strategies within a complex, unionised
CIPD qualified - highly desirable, or equivalent by experience.
