Havering Adult College is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced Learning Support Assistant to their existing team. We offer a wide range of courses in a variety of subjects and venues across the Borough to learners aged 16+. Learning Support Assistant (Sessional) Grade 3-£10.72-£12.38 per hour The successful applicants will be able to communicate effectively with adults with learning disabilities. You should have some experience of working with people within an educational setting. The LSA will be required to follow guidance from the teacher to aid the learner's journey and experience. The LSA can be requested to support an individual learner or work with a small group of learners as instructed by the teacher. Although most of our learners don't need any personal care support, the successful applicant is expected to carry out such duties as required.
• Level 2 numeracy and Level 2 literacy. • Appropriate learning support assistant qualification, or commitment to complete one within one year of confirmation of post. LSAs are used throughout the provision and courses are delivered daytimes, evenings and weekends on a sessional basis. Can you please provide your availability within the application form.
