Our flagship regeneration programme is Meridian Water, the £7 billion regeneration of an 85- hectare site; our delivery approach is without precedent – The Council has taken control and will act as Master Developer for the site - 18 hectares of land have been acquired, planning obtained and the developer for the first 725 homes has just been announced, our new station opened in June and we are currently procuring the developer for our next development. We are also developing our meanwhile uses which recently saw the Field Day festival delivered.
We require a dynamic, experienced, Socio-Economic expert to join our team to work with directors, heads of Service, the Community and partners.
The delivery of Meridian Water demonstrates Enfield’s ambitions as a local authority. For us, Meridian Water is about delivering our passion for successful communities with high quality housing and jobs to make sure that we create places that enable our communities to prosper. It must be holistic, it must involve all stakeholders and it must promote successful placemaking.
The role is a big one, and essential to achieving the Council’s ambitious objectives. We need somebody to be the focus of achieving our aspirations to create 6000 permanent new jobs, deliver our placemaking objectives and assist in delivering our meanwhile uses. We need an individual who, ideally, has experience of big regeneration projects, who has delivered new jobs, worked with start up businesses and has a good knowledge of the property market. We have ambitious plans for ground floor uses throughout Meridian Water. We need you to help ensure our programme and selected partners add social value to our community. We are looking for someone who is passionate, ambitious, strategic, and delivery focussed. Someone who understands the components that are needed to create great places, that provides great jobs and delivers economic benefits for residents. We are looking for someone who has a track record of delivering both economic benefits that improve prospects for residents and improves the life chances of young people in Enfield.
We work at an unrelenting pace, so if you are someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment and believe that you have the vision, skillset and experience that we are looking for then we would be very keen to hear from you.
