We are looking for two individuals with excellent interpersonal and communications skills for an exciting opportunity at the centre of the Council in the Community and Partnerships service area, in the Chief Executive’s Directorate.
The successful candidates will support and directly be involved delivering an Outreach projects as part of the Richmond Council’s flagship community engagement programme.
The Council is committed to making the programme inclusive and want to understand better the residents and groups who are not engaging or involved, and then to support those residents to be better able to have a say about the issues that matter to them.
The core principles of this project are:
- Listening and responding to the needs of those who are unheard
- Working with residents that do not feel that they are represented
- Supporting residents in bringing local ideas to fruition
- Building capacity, and enabling local people help themselves
Therefore the post holder will work with residents, officers from multiple service areas, across the Council. This is an opportunity to help us improve how we engage and involve the communities we serve.
If you have experience in building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, including members of the public, elected Members, local organisations to hear their views and deliver projects that meet local needs, we would particularly encourage you to apply. The roles involve working in a Community Engagement team
The posts include regular evening and weekend working.
