Subject Leader Physics and Triple Science

St Paul’s Way Trust School, in association with Queen Mary, University of London, is seeking to appoint an outstanding, creative and forward thinking Subject Leader for Physics.

The successful candidate will have a passionate belief in the potential of every student, and a robust commitment to ensuring that every student succeeds. (S)he will be an outstanding classroom teacher looking to develop his/her career into middle leadership with a keen interest in the development of Physics within this diverse faculty. (S)he will have the capacity to work alongside the Head of Faculty, Lead Practitioners as well as leading other science colleagues to make an impact on student progress, and develop a rich curriculum and wider opportunities across the Faculty.

We are a heavily over-subscribed ‘through-school’ and National Teaching School, with ‘Outstanding’ provision Ofsted, March 2013). Our award winning new building is situated in the heart of East London. Professor Brian Cox OBE is our Patron.

Our exceptional links with Queen Mary University (QMUL), King’s College London, The University of Warwick, The UCL Institute of Education and the University of East London help shape an inspirational science curriculum. We are London’s only Faraday Science School.

Science is an increasingly successful faculty within St Paul’s Way Trust School, with the majority of students in our expanding sixth form studying at least one of the sciences. The excellent sixth form teaching has been enhanced by the development and creation of the Science Research Centre in conjunction with Queen Mary University (QMUL). This has allowed our sixth form students to engage and participate with real research, through the Authentic Biology Project.
