Role Purpose

A position has arisen within Create Day Service for a Deputy Manager to assist in the overall management of the service, including all areas of administration, management of staff and maintenance of the premises.


Key Responsibilities

You will assist the manager and the staff team in the planning, developing and implementation of a range of person centred activities, both within the centre and in the community that promotes independence and person centred approaches for adults with learning difficulties.

You will supervise staff, and support staff as necessary in the daily care of users.

You will assist in providing formal supervision and annual performance appraisals to day project officers.

You will ensure policies and procedures for a day service setting are adhered too

You will ensure the upkeep of user records, liaise with families and professional agencies and monitor and maintain quality assurance standards

You will assist in all aspects of administration including personnel and financial matters.

You will help develop a dynamic, responsive, and progressive model of day care provision which can respond to the changing needs of adults with learning disabilities

You will assist the manager in monitoring and maintaining the budget and adhere to LBTH Financial Regulations



Requirements

Management qualification NVQ 4 or other relevant professional qualification

Experience of staff supervision and performance management.

To have worked with people with learning disabilities in a Day Service (or similar) setting.

To have participated in staff meetings and case conferences.

To have experience and awareness of budgetary management and financial systems.

A DBS enhanced disclosure that is satisfactory to us will be a condition of your appointment
