This is an excellent career opportunity for a colleague who is passionate about the entitlement of young people to have a rich experience in the performing arts. We have excellent facilities including a fully-equipped 250 seat theatre, high-quality upright and grand pianos and music technology equipment including Logic and Sibelius in all music teaching rooms. Music is becoming increasingly popular at each Key stage. We work closely with the Barbican and the Tower Hamlets Music Service to provide a vibrant extended curriculum programme that provides opportunities for all students to become actively involved in making music.
From September 2014, we have been admitting up to 12 places in Year 7 for Music Scholars and we are continuing to develop a range of distinctive opportunities for these gifted and talented students with strong links to our Higher Education partners.
