Come join the Leadership Team of Royal Greenwich Youth Offending Service and help transform the lives of children through your commitment and drive.

We are a friendly and progressive team and this is an exciting time to join the Service as we are revising our practice methods to better integrate systemic, trauma informed and restorative approaches into a re-designed practice model that enhances the service delivered to children and families.

We are looking for a dynamic, resourceful and creative person to lead a team of frontline practitioners. You will be a qualified Social Worker registered with the General Social Care Council. This is a role which is critical in helping to deliver high quality practice and excellent outcomes for children and families.

Leaders need to possess excellent skills and strong leadership qualities to support frontline practitioners to deliver high quality interventions to hard to reach young people, coupled with a real understanding of how to assess, manage and reduce risk and improve emotional resilience.

We work in a systemic way with small teams supporting each other through Practice Meetings. Our emphasis is on desistance and employing a strengths based approach. You will join a Team which is committed to improving the quality of the service that it is providing to young people to improve their life chances. In return you will be offered a real opportunity to grow and develop professionally.

We see partnerships as key to our delivery model and invest in these relationships.

You will have a commitment to staff development; be well grounded in evidence based practice and have an enthusiasm for effecting change through your leadership. You will need to have significant experience of working within Youth Justice and of managing people and using data to support your work.
