Tower Hamlets is a boroughwith rich diversity and cultural heritage. At the same time there areundeniable problems – linked in part to poverty and deprivation. Levels of ASBand violence are too high – with domestic abuse, drug related crime and seriousyouth violence a particular problem. Tackling crime and ASB is a top priority for the Council and ourresidents.
We are investing in communitysafety and developing new innovative approaches with partners and residents tomaximise our collective partnership effort. We are ambitious for the Boroughand our residents and to deliver a first class community safety service.
To support around casemanagement of individuals that have greater propensity to disengage or continuecausing ASB/crime despite assessment and referral into treatment; examinationof case records and third party information for the purposes of supporting CriminalBehaviour Orders, investigatory work for the preparation of court bundles forcivil injunctions and Community Protection Notices/Warnings; notifying relevantparties of breaches occurring under ASB legislations and powers enforced by theCourts. These additional responsibilities are not currently carried out in anycapacity which itself are crucial to effectively managing the most chaoticindividuals causing the greatest harm through ASB/crime related incidents.
Also to build relationshipswith Registered Social Landlords in the borough to encourage use of availabletools and powers to engage problematic individuals in treatment via their owncivil injunctions providing training and sharing best practice andpolicies/protocols where available and appropriate.
Knowledge of the Anti-socialBehaviour, crime and Policing Act 2014
You will have previousexperience of proactively managing complex ASB cases from start to finish withknowledge of Prohibitions and requirements that can be used to support bothperpetrator and victims.
You will provide expertadvice and guidance to colleagues enhancing our internal knowledge of Anti-SocialBehaviour processes and positive requirements attached.
You will have a strong senseof stakeholder awareness and be able to build quality relationships and rapportwith residents, stakeholders and internal customers to develop and implementmulti-agency problem solving responses to anti-social behaviour.
Proven experience ofpreparing and presenting ASB cases to the County Court whilst supportingwitnesses.
