We’re looking for a proactive individual with account management and ideally volunteer management experience gained in the corporate or fundraising sector to join us as a Corporate Account & Volunteering Executive and play a vital role within our award-winning team.

Housing has become a national emergency that affects all of us. At Shelter, we believe a safe home isn’t just a fundamental need - it should be a right. That’s why, more than ever, this year and beyond we are leading the way to a safe home. We’re going to rally the country to join us on our mission to rise up, speak with a united voice, pick up the pieces and fix the underlying problem. Together we can bring fundamental change. And no matter how long it takes, we will succeed. We have some exciting opportunities to engage business leaders and we will be asking our corporate partners and prospects to join us to tackle the housing crisis by taking collective action. Will you join our award-winning fundraising team and help us?

About the Role

This position is an essential role within the Account Management team. The role will be split 75% on corporate volunteering and 25% on account management. You will be responsible for delivering and project managing volunteering activities for the corporate partnerships team and supporting the growth and development of corporate volunteering across Shelter. You will also be responsible for managing a portfolio of existing corporate partner accounts, developing and delivering these partnerships in-line with the corporate partnerships strategy.

About you
With a proven track record in account management / corporate volunteering, you're great at developing strong working relationships with clients at all levels. What’s more, you have a flexible approach, a ‘can-do’ attitude and a commitment to achieving team targets, driving opportunities and developing clear and efficient plans to achieve your goals. You will be managing multiple projects at one time so effective project management is key to this role as is an innate ability to convey complex ideas succinctly and persuasively. Experience of using Microsoft Office applications and databases (we use Raisers Edge) is also essential.

Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave, the possibility of flexible working, enhanced family friendly policies and significant opportunities for learning and development.

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through our advice, support and legal services. And we campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to us for help. We're here so no-one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.

Safeguarding is everyone’s business. Shelter is committed to protecting the health, wellbeing and human rights of those we support, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect. All our staff will be expected to observe professional standards of behaviour and conduct their work in line with our Safeguarding Policies.
