About the role
Homes for Haringey have an excellent opportunity for a Housing Needs Team Manager to lead our Housing Needs Team. This post will be offered on an 18 month fixed term contract, working 36 hours per week.
Homes for Haringey's Housing Needs service sits within our Housing Demand Directorate. We have recently carried out a restructure to support the additional functions that we will be required to provide under the Homelessness Reduction Act. As a result of additional funding we have secured; we are seeking candidates who will carry forward our aspiration to deliver outstanding services to Haringey's residents.
This is an exciting time to join Homes for Haringey as we continue to embed the most significant legislative changes in 30 years.
This key post will see you lead and supervise the team to deliver a high quality homeless prevention and assessment service; ensuring outstanding customer service and service delivery standards are achieved. You will provide a critical source of support for local people seeking help with their housing needs.

We are looking for a capable and ambitious individual to join our team. You will have experience of working within housing, preferably within homelessness or housing advice. You will be a team player who is articulate, organised, and able to motivate staff to work well under pressure delivering first class homeless prevention and assessment services.
We are looking for someone who is capable of leading a team and achieving high results. You will possess a good understanding of social housing and temporary housing accommodation allocation and suitability.
You will be joining our team at a time of substantial change, so the ability to provide front line officers with strong support and accurate guidance in applying legislation is essential.
