About the role:
Waltham Forest is a progressive and innovative borough with a Legal Service to match. We are dedicated to providing the best possible legal service to our diverse client departments.
The principal areas of law within the scope of the Legal Services Team are;
- Commercial Law - property and planning, procurement and contract law, major regeneration and infrastructure projects
- Family Law - child protection, adult social care, child protection and adult safeguarding
- Litigation and Public Law - civil litigation, housing, employment and prosecutions
You will act as a key liaison officer between the Court Chambers, Corporate Business Support Team, Finance and other external parties ensuring that invoices are processed for payment on time, provide resolution to payment related queries, support users on systems as and when required, update the legal case management system and provide support on the digitalisation of legal records.

Key Responsibilities:
The role of Systems Support Paralegal is a specific role within the Legal Services team ensuring that the service can effectively comply with requirements laid down by the SRA in the payment of fees, compliance with Lexcel in order to maintain its' accreditation and supporting the service in the meeting of workload demands in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
The duties are flexible to meet the demands of the service needs and will involve largely routine work but with the opportunity to undertake more complex work, including casework, being required as necessary.
The role demands flexibility and a commitment to undertake a wide range of duties and responsibilities, and adherence to team processes, policies and protocols both within the service and the Council's business processes to ensure the efficient use of resources..
Qualifications and Requirements:
Good standard of general education
English and Math Qualification.
Training in or other professional accreditation in ICT systems.
Successful completion of relevant apprenticeship qualification.
