Finance Officer

Scale:  Grade 3, Spinal Point 5-9 depending on experience

Hours: 27.5 hours per week, 8.00am - 1.30pm, Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year term time plus 5.8 weeks holiday pay.

Salary:  £28,521 - £30,189 p.a. Full time equivalent

Actual Salary:  £18,719 - £19,814 p.a. 

Contract:  Permanent

 

Engayne Primary School wishes to appoint an experienced Finance Officer.  The successful candidate must:

  • Have an extensive knowledge and competency in SIMs/SIMs finance package `FMS’
  • Have Experience with ‘Parent Pay’ (or similar) online payment systems including production of debt and payment reports
  • Complete a weekly online food order for the school’s internal breakfast club and manage half termly payments and registers
  • Monitor stock/ordering e.g. office stationery, first aid supplies
  • Be able to plan a school visit, including booking coaches, venues and completing a profit/ loss statement, this includes managing payments from parents  
  • To support the School Business Manager with the school’s external lettings procedures and internal clubs run by school staff
  • Be prepared to undertake a range of administrative tasks providing support for the School Business Manager, for example processing orders using leger codes and cost centres accurately and checking deliveries in a timely manner.
  • Have a first aid qualification and administer first aid to pupils (training can be arranged)
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be flexible due to the variety of the role within a school office
