Senior Commissioner - Universal & Targeted Youth Service
£54,129 - £57,201 per annum
Fixed Term until March 2026 (extension subject to further funding)

Are you able to work collaboratively with service users and across different organisations to help us develop and deliver services that will ensure children and young people are safe, happy and cared for, with access to positive and enriching activities, especially during the school holidays?
THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and competent person to lead on the commissioning of services for the Department for Education (DfE) funded Holiday Activities and Food Programme and the related Youth Empowerment universal and targeted youth offer.
The role will also contribute to the development and delivery of a rigorous quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation process that will ensure services are being delivered to a high standard and that they are leading to improved outcomes for children, young people and their families.
ABOUT YOU
We are keen to hear from candidates who have:
- a thorough understanding of commissioning and procurement processes and principles in the context of local authority children’s services, youth services, early help, education or health;
- experience of working in partnership with multiple stakeholders and experience of engagement and co-production with service users;
- excellent analytical, communication, report writing and presentation skills.
To succeed in this role, you will also have effective project management skills and will be able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
