We are seeking dedicated and highly organised Divisional Assistants to join our Children's & Adults' Services team. In this exciting role, you'll play a pivotal part in helping us achieve positive outcomes for children and families in the borough. This is a full-time, permanent position (36 hours per week).

About the Service:

Southwark Children's Services provides essential leadership, support, and guidance to a diverse range of services and partners, all working towards improving outcomes for children, young people, and families in our community.

About the Role:

We are looking for organised and experienced Divisional Assistants to provide flexible and professional administrative, project and secretarial support to our Leadership Team.

In this role, you will work closely with Assistant Directors, enabling them to focus on strategic priorities and high-level business development. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing complex diaries and arranging meetings for the leadership team.
  • Coordinating and responding to correspondence in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring actions and requests are followed up efficiently.
  • Preparing important documents, including meeting papers and board reports.
  • Coordinating travel arrangements and booking events.
  • Taking minutes at meetings chaired by Assistant Directors.
  • Ensuring that meeting papers are distributed accurately and on time.

A full Enhanced DBS check is required for this post.

About You:

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where multitasking and adaptability are key. You will have strong IT and computer skills, along with excellent organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities in a timely fashion.
