About Camden

Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind.  Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.

Within the SEND & Inclusion Service, we have high aspirations for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). By joining our team, you’ll play a vital role in supporting these young individuals and their families, ensuring they receive a high-quality service.

How You’ll Be Involved

As a Finance & Data Officer, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the financial management and oversight of the High Needs Block budget. You’ll work with the Finance Manager and the wider SEND & Inclusion Service to maintain robust financial and data systems that enable informed strategic decision-making. Your responsibilities will include managing budgets and financial resources, developing IT systems to support data tracking and reporting, and preparing information for a range of audiences. By maintaining accurate records and reports, your work will help ensure the delivery of effective services to children with SEND, their families, and schools. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by helping Camden meet its obligations under the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice 2015.

This post requires an Enhanced DBS check.

All About You
We are looking for someone with a strong background in financial management and data analysis within the public sector, preferably in SEND services. You will need to have expertise in managing and forecasting budgets, a detailed understanding of relevant legislation such as the Children and Families Act 2014, and experience presenting complex financial data to different audiences.

Strong interpersonal skills are essential, alongside proficiency in database management and software such as Microsoft Excel. If you’re proactive, analytical, and committed to making a difference for young people with SEND, this role could be your next career move.
