Enfield Council has a range of exciting opportunities for qualified Occupational Therapists with our Adult Social care teams.
Working alongside Assistant OT’s, Social Workers, Social Care assessors and Reablement you will be utilising a strength-based approach to promote independence and well-being. You will work in line with the Care Act to promote service user choice and control in their daily lives while respecting the key elements of the act to ensure service users can continue to have meaningful, autonomous, and self-determined lives.
The teams are focused on developing the best outcomes for service users and this is reflected through our desire to promote a seamless service across the adult pathway.

We are open to consideration of rotation between our different teams or alternative ways of working, currently we are using a hybrid working model utilising office and home working options. 
You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.  You will have the ability to gather and record information to prioritise queries, resolve problems and signpost to alternative services.  You should be highly motivated and skilled in resolving complex, emotionally challenging situations. We expect you to ensure that service users and carers are treated with dignity and respect and are encouraged to fully participate in the assessment process.
You will be registered with the HCPC, you will hold a professional OT qualification with post qualifying experience in health and social care including community placements.
We are open to applicants from returning to practice and newly qualified applicants.

As the OT voice in Adult Social Care, I advocate for best practice and quality assurance as Enfield Council values OT's impact on people's lives.
We boast excellent OT’s across all team in adult social care, including 4 OT Assistant Team Managers, 5 OT Team Managers, 2 OT Heads of Service, and myself, all dedicated to elevating Occupational Therapy. To meet growing demands, we have OT roles available within the following teams: ASC Connect, Prevention and Assessment Hub, Community OT Team and Discharge to Assess.
Enfield Council fosters innovation and supports staff in leading projects, learning specialisms, and knowledge sharing. Since 2019, we have embedded a strengths-based approach in our front door service and across all adult social care pathways. We have revitalised assistive technology, trained champions, and are expanding staff and community awareness. Enfield assistive technology champions collaboratively work with residents, the voluntary sector, health colleagues, and partner agencies.
