ABOUT YOU AND ABOUT THE ROLE - SUPERVISING SOCIAL WORKER - FIXED TERM CONTRACT FOR 1 YEAR

We are looking for a qualified and SWE registered social worker to join our fostering service as a Supervising Social Worker - this role will be fixed term for 1 year.

Responsibilities will include the supervision and support of foster carers to promote increased capacity for in-house foster placements with a focus on quality of care.  The role will require practitioners who are skilled with a good understanding around the procedures and legislative context for fostering. You will have a mixture of private fostering cases as well as a fostering support role.

Previous fostering experience is welcome, but this opportunity is open to applications from social workers with limited fostering experience; provided they can demonstrate a firm understanding of the work at interview.

The fostering service comprises of a team of 10 supervising social workers responsible for the supervision and development of foster carers, including connected person’s, family and friends carers and carers subject to Regulation 24 procedures, as well has private fostering cases.
