Behaviour Support Team Leader

Are looking for an experienced and confident SENCO, Inclusion Lead or Assistant Headteacher to join an established management team within the Behaviour Support Team. The role involves working closely with senior leaders in schools and settings and across teams in Childrens Services to develop inclusive approaches for children with SEMH to enable them to thrive in school and their communities. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, skilled at family engagement and with a breadth of knowledge about meeting the needs of children with SEND.
The person appointed will work as a Team Leader for the Behaviour Improvement Team in the LA’s Behaviour Support Team. They will be managing work undertaken with pupils with SEMH and those from other vulnerable groups and leading on developing multi-agency support, both for whole school and individuals.
The post holder will be expected to lead on implementing an effective whole school improvement offer to promote positive Behaviour management and reduce the risk of suspension for children with challenging behaviours, lead a team of specialist teachers, co-ordinate and develop the central training offer and develop the team’s capacity to raise standards across the LA through the prevention of exclusion and the successful inclusion of children with SEMH.
