Estates Waste and Recycling Engagement Officer (1 year fixed term)

In Tower Hamlets delivering environmental improvements is complex because we have one of the highest population densities and fastest growing populations in the country, increasing number of visitors and workers across the borough and more than 80 per cent of residential properties are flats.
With growth in housing, people, business and visitors, we are producing more waste that needs to be reduced, reused or recycle.
The recycling contamination rate is high at around 27%
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 4 new people to join the Environmental Services Improvement Team.
About you
The successful candidate will have an interest and knowledge of recycling.
You will be an excellent communicator, engaging with residents face-to-face, working closely with stakeholders and developing strong working relationships. You will be well organised, with experience working to deadlines, keeping accurate records and working in a team environment.
You will be mostly be working on-site.
