About the role:
Family Lawyers X 6
We are looking for six family lawyers to join our Families Team, namely in the area of child protection, you will be responsible for initiating and conducting care proceedings under the Children's act 1989. You will have experience of running matters within the Public Law Outline and advising Children's Services, generally, on all issues of childcare law. In the adult social care area you will deal principally with a wide range of adult social care and community care matters, including court of protection proceedings. In addition advocacy skills, representing the Council before the courts, particularly in care proceedings is also desirable experience, but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Child care lawyers - dealing with a varied and challenging child protection caseload, and in all aspects of care and adoption proceedings and advice work, as well as matters in pre- proceedings.
- Adult social care lawyers will be responsible for a varied community care caseload, dealing with court of protection proceedings, ordinary residence disputes and providing legal advice and assistance to our Families Directorate.
Qualifications and Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you should meet the following requirements:
- The candidates should be qualified solicitors or barristers or Chartered legal Executives with considerable experience and PQE and be able to demonstrate experience in the areas of child protection or community care law.
