About the Role

The purpose of this role is to oversee the provision of services to homeless households accommodated across all forms of temporary accommodation, connecting them to support and assistance provided by local Voluntary, Community and Faith organisations, schools, Children’s Centres, Health and Adult Social Care partners as well as working to resettle them into suitable accommodation which either meets the Council’s ongoing statutory homelessness duty or alternatively ends the main homelessness duty with a private rented sector offer. 

Following a service re-design, this new role will be reporting directly to the Demand and Resettlement Manager and will be pivotal in ensuring the Team provide a customer focussed approach to those in emergency and temporary accommodation by helping them move into more settled, permanent accommodation. 

Overseeing a Team of 7 Officers, the successful post holder with ensure they all effectively undertake a variety of duties linked to the assessment of each households accommodation need.
