We are looking for an experienced accountant to join the Meridian Water Finance team as Senior Finance Officer.
In this role you will be an integral part of the Enfield Council resources department, and support in the preparation and issuing of monthly management accounts, board packs and other ad hoc financial information whilst providing finance support to the wider MW team.
The ideal candidate will be meticulous and solution-focused, with the determination to meet timetable deadlines for monthly management accounts and reports including, month end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and revenue reporting with accuracy and efficiency.
If you are a part qualified accountant (ACCA,CIMA ACA) and have experience in the production of management accounts, advanced Excel capability and a strong knowledge of payroll then we want to hear from you!
Key tasks include:
- Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts and reports in a timely manner to meet monthly reporting timetable deadlines
- Analyse and investigate variances to budget and forecasts and provide commentary
- Review accounts against prior months and expectations for reasonableness
- Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
- Quarterly Income and revenue forecasts
- Assisting with development of systems and implementing new processes
