Senior Finance Officer
Flexible working - Permanent, full time contract
PO1 £39,951 - £42,840
Enfield is an ambitious Council, with an ambitious Council programme, with budgets exceeding £1.5Billion over the next 10 years.
Enfield Council has its sights firmly fixed on creating a better borough. We’re regenerating industrial estates, increasing social housing, and leading the development of 10,000 homes in Meridian Water, and that makes our Council a hugely exciting place to be.
The Capital and Projects team is one of 3 consolidated finance teams, which provide a comprehensive finance service to the Council. The Capital and Treasury team is responsible for the financial management of all capital programmes which includes significant Housing development programmes such as Meridian water. The management of the Council’s Treasury function, investment in its Subsidiaries and Joint Venture, also falls under the remit of the team.
As our Senior Finance Officer, you’ll use your background in Finance and CCAB qualification (or actively working towards) to support capital projects. With a passion for financial analysis, having a keen eye for detail, and thriving in a dynamic environment, you’ll transform reporting and relish the stream of new projects.
You will work closely with Strategic Property Service colleagues with financial models that simulate the effects of financial decisions on the Council and will utilise various financial techniques, such as Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Net Present Value (NPV), Payback and ratio analysis.
We welcome applicants from individuals with good interpersonal skills, who are skilled with Microsoft Excel, having worked in a finance team and it would be highly desirable to have experience in Investment Appraisal.
