About the role:
We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic people to work with all parts of our workforce. Theis role will be required to develop and deliver specialist support/advice for the Organisational Development Team, helping to establish a new programme of work to support the development of Waltham Forest Council.
We are building on the great work of the People Strategy 2021 - 2025 to set out how we are going to undertake Workforce and Culture Transformation and to achieve Mission Waltham Forest.

We have a number of new roles available and we are looking for people with energy, enthusiasm and passion to help deliver on significant projects across the organisation to enable an inclusive culture in Waltham Forest.

Key Responsibilities:
- To take a lead role in creating a great place to work for staff, maximising employee engagement through regular measurement of staff engagement (staff surveys), coordinating the build and delivery of associated action plans in all directorates and a continuous improvement approach to engaging with staff in innovative and meaningful ways.
- To lead on workforce planning and staff development for the Council to future proof the organisation by identifying and building plans to address areas of resource and skills shortage
- To deliver and embed Leadership development programmes that enable successful career progression for all staff, including under-represented groups including the management development and promotion of the council corporate coaching and mentoring programme
- To embed a modern leadership framework that enables best in class leadership by council officers, with a strong mechanism to ensure leadership development to achieve the outcomes
- To improve the overall employee experience through their life cycle from initial induction, creating supporting team environments and eventual exit, through ensuring correct OD interventions place employees at the heart of our processes
- Act as an OD business partner to service departments working with HR Business Partners, Recruitment team and other staff across the HR/OD service to provide solutions to identified concerns and issues

- Degree or equivalent or vocational qualification in relevant subject or area
- Evidence of continuous professional development
