The role

We are looking for someone who can help improve the quality of life for residents and users of Southwark, by delivering a pest free environment where people feel safe and proud. The Pest Control team provide key front-line services for both residential and commercial customers across the borough and as part of Traded Services will be looking to expand its service delivery to cater for a bigger audience in the future.

Working within a busy office environment you will be responsible for the scheduling of works, dealing with customer enquiries and supporting front line operatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the booking and scheduling of appointments and programmed works and providing general support to the pest control team by assisting the Scheduling Manager.
  • To provide excellent first line customer service through the PCS contact centre and arrange appointments and operational service requests.
  • To provide written and verbal service-related advice to officers, members, members of the public, contractors, community groups and all stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain office systems and procedures.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working in an administrative capacity in either the private or public sector.
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service in a busy office environment.
  • Ability to use and produce documents using IT applications including word-processing, spreadsheets and databases.
