About the role:

Do you love working with people? Are you an excellent communicator, well-organised, highly self-motivated, and energetic? If so, this role may be for you. An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Housing Engagement Team for a full-time, fixed-term Housing Engagement Officer (HEO).

Working extensively with the borough's various resident groups on a range of resident involvement projects, you will also be involved in creating, developing, supporting and delivering the organisation's approach to resident involvement. You will have a key role in ensuring that our residents' voices are listened to, acted on and our housing services reflect their needs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

To be considered for this role we expect that applicants will have the following:

  • Experience of delivering resident involvement initiatives and associated activities to empower residents to contribute to and scrutinise services
  • Experience in setting up new residents' associations including recruitment of members, accessing appropriate training and assisting groups with grant funding. You will also provide on-going advice, development and support
  • IT skills - Microsoft Office Suite with excellent written and verbal communication skills
