Commissioning and Project Support Officer for the North East London Commissioning Partnership (NELCP)

Contract: 6 Months Fixed Term
Pay – Grade 4 - £29,139 to £31,440 per annum (pro rata) subject to final confirmation.
The London Borough of Havering is looking to recruit a Commissioning and Project Support Officer to the Integrated Health and Commissioning Team to work on the North East London Commissioning Partnership
The advertised role reports to the Senior Commissioning and Project Manager for the North East London Partnership (NELCP) and will be integral in supporting the delivery of the NELCP. You will be part of an emerging integrated commissioning team of health and care in Havering, responsible for ensuring that services are seamless, commissioned around the needs of local young people including the wider determinants of health, and deliver value for money. The role will work solely in supporting the 8 borough commissioning partnership in North East London. The NELCP is a project focused on delivery high quality services and improved outcomes for young people in residential care.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting the Senior Commissioning in delivering the vision of the North East London Commissioning Partnership’s by providing effective administration and project support including programme and project reporting, supporting with planning. This will involve supporting the Senior Commissioning in co-ordinating and working in collaboration with partners across North East London local authorities across all levels of the organisations within children’s social care including Directors, Service Managers, Commissioners and Social Care Teams. The post holder will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative and programme support to the Senior Commissioner and Project Manager for the NELCP. This will include supporting them with programme reporting including collating reporting data and feeding this into monthly programme reports for senior management and stakeholders, ensuring Verto usage, and auditing the quality of reporting, and updating within Verto. To support the Senior Commissioner and Project Manager in arranging events, including liaison with and securing venues, placing orders, managing invitations and guest lists as well as general administration and event facilitation. The post holder will be expected to provide project support to the Commissioners including support with planning, maintaining risk and issues logs and supporting project meetings.
The successful candidate should have experience in providing project support and undertaking general administrative task.
The post holder will also need to have excellent report writing and oral communication skills, along with experienced with projects and excellent IT skills.
The successful candidate will be dynamic, passionate about improving outcomes and experiences of local people, and have a passion for developing themselves further.
