The Post
 
We are looking for a suitably experienced Contracts Manager to lead and manage NEC4 based street lighting and street trees contracts for the implementation of capital lighting schemes, reactive and planned maintenance programmes for trees and lighting, through effective planning, budget management, staff management and governance.
 
The Person

The successful candidate will have significant relevant Continuing Professional Development (CPD) with emphasis on contract and project management, good knowledge of NEC4 engineering contract principles and knowledge of Construction, Design & Management (CDM) regulations in street lighting, civil engineering, construction or legal discipline and extensive relevant professional experience together with significant experience and knowledge of Street Lighting and Arboricultural term contracts, Lighting design and maintenance, asset management, capital and revenue finance.  You will also lead a team of 4-5 officers.

The working environment is fast-paced, and you will need to be agile and flexible in your approach.  You will be an effective communicator, both in writing and orally and be able to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Members, staff, customers and contractors.
