Senior Early Years Educator

Edith kerrison Nursery School and Children’s Centre
Salary: Scale 6, 
Permanent, term time, 36 hours

We have a vacancy for an experienced early years educator with at least a level 3
qualification in childcare and early education (or equivalent), with successful
EYFS experience to work at our wonderful Nursery School to support the development of high quality Early Years Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision across the setting.

●    Are you excited about young children’s learning and committed to high quality inclusive early years education?
●    Do you have a sound understanding of child development, the Early Years Foundation Stage, legislation relating to SEND and a strong commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities as well as evidence of relevant training in early years SEND interventions.
●    Are you able to advocate for children with additional needs by contributing to an exciting inclusive well-planned curriculum, that has a strong focus on child led learning and outdoor experiences.
●    Are you positive about working in partnership with families in our diverse, multi-lingual community?
●    Do you want to be part of an experienced team of professionals and a leadership team who values professional development?

We need a Senior Early Years Educator who:
●    Is qualified to at least NNEB, NVQ L3 (or equivalent)
●    Is focused on putting children first – and understands the importance of play in children’s learning.
●    Enjoys working in a fast-paced, high quality environment that embraces change
●    Continues to be fascinated by young children’s learning and development
●    Is resilient with a “can do” attitude and a good sense of fun
●    Enjoys and values outdoor play in all weathers
●    Is skilled at listening to children and having conversations with them
●    Is able to promote children’s learning through our broad curriculum
●    Has excellent verbal and written communication skills and is compassionate and confident working with parents
●    Is passionate about providing and advising on high quality SEND practice, strategies and interventions to support children
