The role
As a key member of our team, you will provide essential engineering services for the implementation of traffic schemes, contributing to the realization of Camden's vision as a safe and inviting community. Your role will involve managing the council's highways term contractor to ensure the timely and budget-compliant delivery of projects while upholding the highest standards of health and safety regulations.
Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders will be crucial as you navigate various schemes, including the coordination of temporary road closures and parking suspensions. Additionally, your commitment to staying updated with legislative changes and industry best practices will be vital in shaping the work of the design team and fostering knowledge dissemination within and outside the service.
About you
The successful candidate will need to have a strong background in traffic engineering and a proven history of successful scheme implementation. A solid understanding of local government responsibilities and the legal framework for engineering and traffic matters is essential. Additionally, expertise in contract management, proven experience in Engineering/Transportation and familiarity with Health and Safety Regulations, is required.
