Get ahead as a Business Admin Apprentice working in our Contracts Performance Team within Public Realm Service at the London borough of Brent

The Post
To provide administration and contract support to the Contracts Manager responsible for Integrated Waste and Cleaning contract and Grounds Maintenance contract. Ensuring contracting governance is observed, maintaining and regularly reviewing contract records, including performance Indicators, programme of works, liaising with the Neighbourhood Management and Parks team and informing Ward Councillors of intended works in their respective Wards. Contributing towards providing an efficient waste collection and grounds maintenance service to our residents.

Simultaneously undertaking a comprehensive study programme towards your apprenticeship.  You will gain valuable knowledge and skills which will be an asset to the council and your career. Our apprenticeship scheme offers significant assistance with training and provides the opportunity to improve skills for future career opportunities. 
 
The Person
We are looking for someone who is ambitious, keen to learn, interested in the subject area and with the commitment to see it through. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and organised, demonstrate good communication skills, with excellent time management skills. Have a flexible and positive approach to work alongside an interest in developing a career in the anti-social behaviour team.
You will also need to show your interest in local government and the delivery of public services.

Qualifications required:

English and Maths GCSE level 4 or above is desirable, but not essential and can be added as part of the apprenticeship. However, these must be completed prior to the end of the apprenticeship.

Good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is desirable.

Prospective apprentices will be required to pass the training provider selection and or application process prior to a job offer.
