Business Intelligence and Reporting Officer
Grade 8- £46,041- £50,031pa
We are looking to appoint to the role of the Business Intelligence and Reporting Officer in the Corporate Business Systems Team.
The role reports to the Business Intelligence and Reporting Lead.
The purpose of the role is to provide support and development for reporting from Oracle Fusion and associated Systems (PBCS and Archive Systems).
The systems under support include but are not limited to Oracle Fusion, Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service and Legacy Oracle Archive Databases. Oracle Fusion encompasses core council business systems including HR recruitment, employee records learning, Payroll, Procurement and finance.
The key activities of the position will be to:
- Support the Business Intelligence and Reporting Lead in delivering high quality accurate reporting and management information from Oracle Fusion.
- Undertake development and support of complex reports using appropriate tools(SC1) .
- Be able to specialise in a specific area(SC2) .
- Be able to investigate and provide options for reports to users and managers.
- Be able to escalate issues to and liaise with, external partners and provide support and feedback to them when required.
- Be able to explain complex technical problems simply to managers.
- Be able to plan and prioritise workload.
- Contribute to process automation and service improvement.
- Be able to document and share knowledge with other Team members.
- Contribute to the working of the CBST team.
You will deputise for the Business Intelligence and Reporting Lead as required
About You
You will be an experienced Report Writer, preferably with experience of using Oracle Fusion.
You will be able to work with non-technical staff at all levels to senior management, to provide advice and guidance on what may be possible in terms of reporting in order to develop and implement system changes.
You should have direct experience in the following areas:
- Oracle Fusion including Finance HCM and Payroll processes.
- Reporting in Oracle OTBI and / or Oracle EPM/PBCS.
- Writing and maintaining reports using Oracle BI Publisher and Oracle SQL.
- Using a Call Based Management System.
