Resources Assistant required ASAP

Mon-Fri - 35 hours per week – Hours 8.30 am to 4.30 pm

Term Time + Inset and 5 days to be worked in school holidays (40 weeks)

Salary Sc4N (pts 8-10) £29,859 - £30,771 pro-rata

Actual salary £26,455 - £27,263 per annum

Sydenham School is seeking to appoint a Resources Assistant to work as part of a team to provide an efficient and effective Resources & Design support service throughout the school under the direction of the Resources and Communications Manager.  You will provide an efficient and effective service including display, reprographics, administrative support for the whole school.

The role will require you to design and produce high-quality curriculum materials, display materials and posters, school publications, and web pages for the school website using a range of audiovisual, IT hardware and software. Software packages would include MS Office Suite, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, FlashMacro Media Suite, Adobe Indesign and Video–editing packages. Training on any areas for development will be available.

 

You must be an excellent communicator, both orally and in writing and have exceptional administrative and organisational skills.

 

Previous experience of working within a school environment would be an advantage.  Flexibility is crucial to meeting the complex needs of a large school, as is the ability to build trusting relationships with families, students, staff, Governors and the wider school community.
