Monitoring Officer

SO1        £33,351 - £34,341

Waltham Forest is seeking a Monitoring Officer to work with developers in the Borough to monitor and check compliance of constriction sites with their agreed Construction Logistics Plans. This would ideally suit a motivated colleague with related experience to build on the early success in the area of Construction Logistics Plans. This person will aid the Borough’s growth of development across the Borough, by using Construction Logistic Plans to monitor construction related activity and vehicle movements affecting the public highway. This is to mitigate and minimise these impacts on road safety, the highway network, congestion and environment. This is also to minimise the impact of construction works on local residents and road users

The profile of this work is increasingly important and requires a candidate with related knowledge. You will be monitoring compliance of development sites with their Construction Logistics Plans by; building relationships with developers and contractors at development sites across the Borough, updating and maintaining records tracking CLPs and your contact with sites, carrying out planned and responsive site visits, liaising with internal and external stakeholders. You will also be involved in advising developers on, and approving CLP’s.

For this role you will ideally have some prior knowledge of CLOCS, NSWRA, CLP’s, construction logistics, network management or FORS matters. You will need to be confident in developing and maintaining relationships with developers and construction contractors, work independently, adopt a proactive approach, challenge when necessary, show initiative, and you will need to respond to issues as they arise.

This is an exciting time to join the team and help shape the future of Construction Logistics in the Borough, some training will be offered to the right candidate.
