The Department of Supported Learning is seeking to appoint a committed and suitably qualified Lecturer to tutor and teach young people aged 16-24 on the college’s discrete provision for learning disabled students.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience of delivering a structured educational programme to students developing independent living and communication skills at pre-Entry levels, and working with non-verbal and autistic learners. You will have the ability to work flexibly as part of a multi-agency team to ensure high levels of responsiveness to students’ needs, and the ability to offer stimulating, stretching and individualised teaching to a consistently high standard. You will be able to deliver accredited learning, and meet awarding body and internal moderation requirements. You will have excellent communication, and organisational skills, and a positive approach to problem solving and innovation.
