The Post
The Brent Museum and Archives team are an ambitious team with a reputation for delivering high profile partnership projects within Brent.
We want to continue to build and develop our collections, increase access and collaborate with the diverse communities in the borough. If you are passionate about heritage, have a museum or /and archives background and want to work within the team that delivers this exciting new development then we would like to speak to you.
You will assist the Heritage Collections Manager and Heritage Officers to deliver an ambitious programme that covers outreach and exhibition programme along with the smooth running of the borough’s museum and archive service, while feeding into and complimenting the diverse cultural offer at the Library at Willesden Green.
The Person
You will have knowledge and an interest in museums and archives. You will be enthusiastic with a can-do attitude and be committed to providing excellent customer service for visitors to the Museum and Archives.
You will have experience of working with historical documents and artefacts and have an eye for detail and excellent skills in organisation, management of information and the ability to manage your time and workload.
You will also have a strong commitment to promoting Brent's history and widening access to and increasing knowledge of its important collections.
This post requires working unsocial hours including weekends and late evenings on Thursdays.
