The post reports to the Exchequer Manager.

We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Contract Monitoring Officer to assist the Exchequer Manager with the monitoring of the Exchequer Services Contract. Your primary role will focus on monitoring of Accounts Payable, Financial Assessments, Charging for Social Care and Appointee and Deputyship.

You will be responsible for supervising the work of the Contract Monitoring Officer and the Contract Monitoring Support Assistant whilst assisting with projects required to deliver improvements in conjunction with other Senior Council Officers and/or partner organisations.

Based in the Civic Centre you will support the Council’s contract management processes ensuring that the Council’s contract is delivering best value by monitoring and testing performance and efficiency. You will also assist to develop and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to deliver continuous improvements.

To fulfil this role, you require a comprehensive knowledge of accounts payable processes and an understanding of adult social care charging. You will also have knowledge of financial systems and controls and standard Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).

This is an exciting time to be joining the Exchequer Service as it implements the Council’s digital strategy and prepares for the Government’s Charging reforms.
