St James’ is looking to appoint a dedicated and reliable Learning Mentor with proven
experience of working with parents’, outside professionals and governors.

The successful candidate will:

be able to identify barriers to learning, of students, and develop action plans to
overcome and remove those barriers.
possess GCSEs in Maths and English (Grades A-C)
possess good communication skills and able to present verbally to a wide audience, as
well as use records to produce written reports
have experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviour
have proven experience with raising attainment standards, including writing and preparing students for SATs exams;
be able to demonstrate an understanding of strategic planning
